My love began in 1989 when my parents purchased their first puppy of the breed.
We called her "Abby." I was amazed how easy she was to train. She was both eager to learn and
delighted to please. It seemed as if she could read your thoughts even before you knew what they
were. I knew that someday I had to have one of these wonderful Shelties of my very own. But I soon discovered you couldn't have just one Sheltie! Shelties are an addiction!
We purchased our first Sheltie, Canadian
Champion WillowGlyn Baccarat "Chance." He was raised in Canada by Yvonne Halkow of WillowGlyn
Shelties, who finished him as a champion before we bought him. We now have six wonderful
Shelties: Chance, Sasha, Whitney, Sonny, Shelby and Tia. I did say you can't have just ONE!

Lakestar Shelties is located in Elyria, Ohio, near the shores of Lake Erie and just a short drive
west of Cleveland. Lakestar is a small kennel, dedicated to the Sheltie breed. Our goals is
to produce beautiful Shelties with intelligent, wonderful temperaments.
All of are Shelties are kept in the house where they are raised with our three children
from whom they get plenty of love and attention. Our puppies reside in our kitchen which-
between pups and kids- is often like Grand Central Station. Here, they enjoy plenty of play,
running, and socialization. Shelties are great with children! Our nine year old daughter,
Anna, is presently attending agility classes with Trinity's Lakestar Breeze (Whitney) and conformation classes with Mystic's Pyjama Party (Shelby). All of our
dogs have undergone genetic testing to be certain they are of top quality and breeding. If you
